Understand what’s getting in the way. Then move.
I help organizations resolve operational obstacles, make sound decisions, and establish a workable path into the Saudi market.
You work directly with me, from the first conversation to the result.
Licensed in Jeddah
since 2012
Who I work with
-
International businesses entering or expanding in Saudi Arabia
You need someone on the Saudi side who can work out the pathway, test the assumptions, find the right relationships, and tell you plainly what is workable before you commit.
-
Industrial companies
I built and prepared a Saudi manufacturing operation from licensing to production readiness, so I know where operations stall and what it takes to move them.
-
Government entities
As Executive Director of the Saudi Chess Federation, I ran a national body. I connect practical improvements to an entity’s priorities and the Vision 2030 objectives they serve.
When I can help
- Work is delayed, duplicated, or repeatedly escalated.
- An important decision needs stronger evidence or independent judgment.
- An agreed initiative is struggling to deliver.
- A Saudi market entry, partnership, or expansion needs testing before you commit resources.
One person, working directly with you
The person you speak to first is the person who does the work. Nothing is handed from a partner who sells to a team that learns on your time.
- Fast
- I get into unfamiliar matters quickly and reach a clear view without the coordination a larger team needs before it can start.
- Resourceful
- When the answer depends on a requirement, a specialist, or the right contact, I find it. Where the scope needs specialist input, I bring it in and you know who is involved and why.
- Accountable
- One point of contact, one set of commitments, and a direct answer when something is not workable.
For example
I had six international industrial technology firms that I could represent in Saudi Arabia. Before committing time or money to any of them, I went directly to sector specialists in government and asked which one fit the Kingdom’s current priorities.
Within days I had a clear answer. I now represent that firm exclusively.
From understanding to action
-
Agree the problem
I listen to the people involved, examine how the work actually happens, and test the possible causes.
ResultA clear problem and an agreed outcome.
-
Choose the approach
I compare realistic options on business fit, who can deliver, and full cost, including internal effort and ongoing support. I also check how each option holds up if demand or capacity changes.
ResultA recommendation with the reasoning behind it.
-
Make the change
We agree the intervention and who owns what. I guide delivery with your people and bring in specialists where the scope requires it.
ResultA change in place with clear ownership.
-
Review the result
I check adoption and results against the starting point, so you can decide what to keep, adjust, or expand.
ResultAn informed next decision.
Start with one problem worth solving
A first engagement has a clear scope, an agreed fee, defined responsibilities, and an endpoint. It produces:
- A clear working brief
- The facts, constraints, and assumptions that matter
- Options you can compare
- Priority risks, gaps, and dependencies
- A direct recommendation
- A next step with a named owner
If the matter is not ready for further work, I will say so. Broader work follows only when the findings justify it and you choose it.
Experience
- Building a regulated manufacturing operation
- I built and prepared a Saudi cosmetics manufacturing operation across licensing, equipment, systems, staffing, procedures, and production readiness.
- Saudi market entry and international expansion
- I am the exclusive representative in Saudi Arabia of FactoVia, a French Industry 4.0 consulting firm specialising in Unified Namespace (UNS). I have also supported partnerships, cross-border opportunities, and Saudi-side execution.
- Running and restructuring a national federation
- As Executive Director of the Saudi Chess Federation, I restructured its workflows, introduced the Sharek system for participation fees, and launched its digital chess club during COVID-19.
- Transformation and operating coordination
- I have worked across business requirements, systems, processes, and stakeholders where progress depended on more than one function.
Client names are withheld where discretion requires it.

How this looks in practice: approvals that slow delivery
An illustrative scenario.
- Repeated reviews and unclear decision ownership are delaying work. I start by examining actual cases and mapping the handoffs.
- Where the evidence supports it, we clarify decision rights and test a simpler approval path that keeps the necessary controls.
- We then compare approval time, returned work, and exceptions against the baseline before deciding whether to expand the change.
How I work
Simplify the work
Clarify handoffs and decisions before choosing tools.
Test with the people involved
Check that the change works in practice and can be adopted.
Build on what works
Review results before expanding.
Say it plainly
If something is not workable, or the matter is not a fit, I will tell you.
About
I am Majed Alsulaiman. I run an independent management consulting practice in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, licensed since 2012. I served a full six-year term on the management consulting committee of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce.
My background spans executive leadership, compliance-sensitive operations, business development, international expansion support, and consulting. The common thread is entering an unfamiliar matter quickly, finding what matters, and turning it into a path people can act on.
I take focused assignments where there is a clear question, access to the relevant facts, and a decision-maker.
Tell me what is happening
- What is happening today?
- What needs to change?
- What is getting in the way?
A short description is enough. You do not need a formal brief, and please leave out confidential information at this stage. I will reflect back what I have heard, clarify the decision you need to make, and agree a useful next step with you.
